We describe two patients with chronic unilateral ptosis and contralateral hemispheric arteriovenous malformations. Both patients were brought to our attention after a subacute or acute neurological deterioration. Analysis of prior photographs showed the ptosis progressed up to the time of presentation and significantly resolved following surgical removal of the arteriovenous malformation.
