Cerebral haemodynamic, metabolic and electrocortical reactivity to alterations in arterial CO2 tension (PaCO2) was assessed in seven mechanically ventilated juvenile pigs to test an experimental model designed for cerebral pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic studies.
