Not only blood pressure but also behavioral activity, brain morphology, and cerebral ventricular size differ between young spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR) and normotensive Wistar-Kyoto (WKY) rats. This suggests that cerebral blood flow and cerebral metabolism may vary between these two rat strains.
