Cerebral ischemia-reperfusion leads to vascular dysfunction characterized by endothelial cell injury or death. In the present study, we used an in vitro model to elucidate mechanisms of human brain microvascular endothelial cell (HBMEC) injury after episodic ischemia-reperfusion.
