Electroamygdalagrams and electrohippocampalgrams of the cat and monkey were studied before, during, and after electrically induced afterdischarges. Cerebellar stimulation, particularly of midline cortex, shortened or terminated afterdischarges. Prestimulation of the vermis suppressed afterdischarges for as long as 5 min.
