Both Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis are associated with ocular disease, including anterior episcleritis and uveitis. However, central vein occlusion has been a rarely reported complication of Crohn’s disease (four cases) [1–4] or ulcerative colitis (four cases) [5–8].
