The Triple bode Test of Categorization was constructed and validated to neasure three major modes of categorization postulated by Vygotsky. This instrument, along with the Stanford Achievement Reading Test was administered to 313 hearing children, 225 typically deaf and 2? special class deaf children, to determine whether the deaf exhibit similar modes of categorization at the same developmental levels as hearing children.
