We investigate catalysis of electroweak baryogenesis by fermionic Higgs portal dark matter using a two Higgs doublet model augmented by vector-like fermions. The lightest neutral fermion mass eigenstate provides a viable dark matter candidate in the presence of a stabilizing symmetry Z_2 or gauged U(1)_D symmetry. Allowing for a non-vanishing CP-violating phase in the lowest-dimension Higgs portal dark matter interactions allows generation of the observed dark matter relic density while evading…

Electroweak baryogenesis, electric dipole moments, and Higgs diphoton decays
A bstractWe study the viability of electroweak baryogenesis in a two Higgs doublet model scenario augmented by vector-like, electroweakly interacting fermions. Considering a limited, but illustrative
Strong first order electroweak phase transition in 2HDM confronting future Z & Higgs factories
The electroweak phase transition can be made first order by extending the Standard Model (SM) Higgs sector with extra scalars. The same new physics can explain the matter-antimatter asymmetry of the
Higgs CP Violation from Vectorlike Quarks
We explore CP violating aspects in the Higgs sector of models where new vectorlike quarks carry Yukawa couplings mainly to the third generation quarks of the Standard Model. We point out that in the
The Higgs Portal and Cosmology
Higgs portal interactions provide a simple mechanism for addressing two open problems in cosmology: dark matter and the baryon asymmetry. In the latter instance, Higgs portal interactions may contain
Dark matter amnesia in out-of-equilibrium scenarios
Models in which the dark matter is produced at extremely low rates from the annihilation of Standard Model particles in the early Universe allow us to explain the current dark matter relic density
Filtered pseudo-scalar dark matter and gravitational waves from first order phase transition
If dark matter (DM) acquires mass during a first order phase transition, there will be a filtering-out effect when DM enters the expanding bubble. In this paper we study the filtering-out effect for
Probing electroweak phase transition with multi-TeV muon colliders and gravitational waves
We study the complementarity of the proposed multi-TeV muon colliders and the near-future gravitational wave (GW) detectors to the first order electroweak phase transition (FOEWPT), taking the real
