Casimir energy density in closed hyperbolic universes ∗

  title={Casimir energy density in closed hyperbolic universes ∗},
  author={Daniel S. M{\"u}ller and Helio V. Fagundes}
The original Casimir effect results from the difference in the vacuum energy of the electromagnetic field, between a configuration in a space with boundary and the usual infinite space configuration. In this paper we develop the theory of a similar situation, involving a scalar field in spacetimes with negative spatial curvature.
