  • A 71-year-old woman presented with a six-month history of pain in the neck and tingling sensations in her arms and legs; these symptoms were worse at night. She felt clumsy in her movements with reduced power in both hands. Subsequently she complained of difficulty in swallowing localized to the neck. Physical examination revealed tenderness in the region of C5-7 spinous processes and reduced movements of the neck.
