This study focuses on the role of nicotinic receptors located in the caudal ventrolateral medullary depressor area (CVLM) in regulating/modulating cardiovascular function. Blood pressure and heart rate were monitored by standard techniques in urethane-anesthetized, artificially ventilated, adult male Wistar rats.
