The present study was designed to investigate whether fluvastatin, a 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A (HMG-CoA) reductase inhibitor, would attenuate the acute myocardial infarction in isoproterenol-treated rat model via maintaining activities of endogenous antioxidant enzymes.
