Regulation of catalase (CAT) by peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-γ (PPARγ) was investigated to determine if PPARγ activation provides cardioprotection from oxidative stress caused by hydrogen peroxide (H(2)O(2)) in an age-dependent manner.
