Before analyzing the CT image, it is very important to segment the heart image, and the left ventricular (LV) inner and outer membrane segmentation is one of the most important contents. However, manual segmentation is tedious and time-consuming. In order to facilitate doctors to focus on high-tech tasks such as disease analysis and diagnosis, it is crucial to develop a fast and accurate segmentation method [1]. In view of this phenomenon, this paper uses distance regularized level set (DRLSE… Expand

Heart chambers and whole heart segmentation techniques: review
TLDR
An overview of cardiac segmentation techniques is provided, with a goal of providing useful advice and references, and important clinical applications, imaging modalities, and validation methods used for cardiac segmentsation are described. Expand
A Level Set Method for Image Segmentation in the Presence of Intensity Inhomogeneities With Application to MRI
TLDR
A novel region-based method for image segmentation, which is able to simultaneously segment the image and estimate the bias field, and the estimated bias field can be used for intensity inhomogeneity correction (or bias correction). Expand
Medical Image Denoising Using Bilateral Filter
TLDR
Bilateral filtering for medical image denoising is a nonlinear and local technique that preserves the features while smoothing the images and removes the additive white Gaussian noise effectively but its performance is poor in removing salt and pepper noise. Expand
Distance Regularized Level Set Evolution and Its Application to Image Segmentation
TLDR
A new variational level set formulation in which the regularity of the level set function is intrinsically maintained during thelevel set evolution called distance regularized level set evolution (DRLSE), which eliminates the need for reinitialization and thereby avoids its induced numerical errors. Expand
Distance regularized level set evolution and its application to image segmentation
Level set methods have been widely used in image processing and computer vision. In conventional level set formulations, the level set function typically develops irregularities during its evolutio...

The data and methods used to produce the Version 2 estimates of burden of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy for the year 2000 are summarized and the long-term sequelae of both preeclampsia or eClampsia are not well evaluated. Expand
A level set method for structural topology optimization
This paper presents a new approach to structural topology optimization. We represent the structural boundary by a level set model that is embedded in a scalar function of a higher dimension. SuchExpand
Snakes: Active contour models
TLDR
This work uses snakes for interactive interpretation, in which user-imposed constraint forces guide the snake near features of interest, and uses scale-space continuation to enlarge the capture region surrounding a feature. Expand
