Abstract A simple and sensitive capillary electrophoretic method was developed for the separation and determination of sodium methyldithiocarbamate (metham), manganese ethylenebisdithiocarbamate (maneb) and ethyl xanthate in boric acid buffer by direct UV absorbance detection at λ = 254 nm. The separation is dependent on pH and nature of the buffer. The detection limits (S/N = 3) are 1.7 × 10–6 mol/L for ethyl xanthate, 1.3 × 10–6 mol/L for metham and 2.1 × 10–6 mol/L for maneb. The method has… Expand
Determination of Dithiocarbamate Fungicides by Reversed‐Phase Ion‐Pair Liquid Chromatography with Chemiluminescence Detection
Abstract Dithiocarbamate fungicides react with luminol to produce an intense chemiluminescence in the presence of hexacyanoferrate(III) and hexacyanoferrate(II) in alkaline solution. Based on thisExpand
INDIRECT DETERMINATION OF MANEB (MANGANESE ETHYLENEBISDITHIOCARBAMATE) IN SOME FOODS BY FLAME ATOMIC ABSORPTION SPECTROMETRY
ABSTRACT A simple, sensitive and rapid flame atomic absorption spectrometric (FAAS) method for the indirect determination of maneb in foods was described. Manganese liberated by the decomposition ofExpand
Flow injection analysis of ethyl xanthate by gas diffusion and UV detection as CS2 for process monitoring of sulfide ore flotation.
TLDR
Two practical applications demonstrate the versatility of the FIA method: (i) evaluation the free EtX(-) concentration during a laboratory study of the Et X(-) adsorption capacity on pulverized sulfide ore (pyrite) and (ii) monitoring of EtX (-) at different stages of a flotation pilot plant processing a Cu-Zn sulfides ore. Voltammetric analysis of mancozeb and its degradation product ethylenethiourea
Abstract The purpose of this work was to develop a reliable alternative method for the determination of the dithiocarbamate pesticide mancozeb (MCZ) in formulations. Furthermore, a method for theExpand
The use of copper solid amalgam electrodes for determination of the pesticide thiram
The complexes formed between copper and thiram and between mercury and thiram have been electrochemically (voltammetrically) investigated in the present work. Their structure was confirmed usingExpand
A novel capillary electrophoresis method with pressure assisted field amplified sample injection in determination of thiol collectors in flotation process waters.
TLDR
A new capillary electrophoresis method was developed for the quantification of diisobutyldithiophosphate (DTP), DTPI and ethyl and isobutyl xanthates (EX, IBX) all of which are used as thiol collectors in froth flotation. Expand
Determination of manganese- and manganese-containing fungicides with lucigenin-Tween-20-enhanced chemiluminescence detection.
TLDR
The analysis of Mn(II) in river water reference materials (SLRS-4 and SLRS-5) showed good agreement with the certified values incorporating an on-line 8-hydroxyquinoline chelating column in the manifold for removing interfering metal ions. Expand
Preparation of Silica-PAN Functionalized Nanoextractants for the Extraction of Ferbam from Various Samples
1-(2-pyridylazo)-2-naphthol modified SiO2 nanoparticles were synthesized and evaluated as a nanoadsorbent for removing Ferbam from various environmental sources and fortified grain and vegetablesExpand
A new strategy for the combination of supramolecular liquid phase microextraction and UV-Vis spectrophotometric determination for traces of maneb in food and water samples.
TLDR
A novel and green method was developed for enrichment of maneb (manganese ethylene-bisdithiocarbamate) with a supramolecular solvent liquid phase microextraction method and was successfully applied in the analysis of the maneb content of water and food samples. Expand
