Due to the increasing acceptability of CDMA, all infrastructure / service providers are accelerating their investigation to map out strategies to handle the increasing capacity demand. In the AMPSRDMA technology [2], cell splitting has been one of the standard practices to improve the frequency reuse factor in order to increase capacity.
