This paper proposes a methodology for capability-based planning (CBP) and investigates how it can be modelled with ArchiMate. This can be considered an important step in aligning Business and IT. By having a common language to express organisational plans, enterprise architects can engage business leaders to plan organisational change based on business outcomes, rather than projects, processes and applications.
