Mycoplasma haemocanis (Mhc) and Candidatus Mycoplasma haematoparvum (CMhp) have been described in dogs. Historically, microscopic visualization of hemotropic Mycoplasma spp. has occurred most often in immunocompromised or splenectomized dogs. The aim of this study was to determine the Mhc and CMhp prevalences among dogs from the United States.
