Candida prosthetic valve endocarditis cured by caspofungin therapy without valve replacement.

Abstract

A 64-year-old woman with a mechanical mitral valve prosthesis developed late-onset Candida endocarditis. Blood cultures grew Candida glabrata and Candida krusei.
