In a porcine endotoxin shock model employing a continuous intravenous administration of Salmonella abortus equi endotoxin the cardiorespiratory and metabolic parameters were studied with main emphasis on the effect of hemofiltration (HF) as the only therapeutical measurement on the enhancement of survival time.
