BACKGROUND Soft-tissue augmentation using calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) filler has been shown to be a safe and effective filler agent. A previous study utilizing electron microscopy demonstrated deposition of collagen around filler microspheres with minimal inflammatory response.
