Reinstatement of drug-seeking behaviour in animals is relevant to relapse to drug taking in humans. We used the conditioned place preference version of the reinstatement model to investigate the establishment, extinction, reinstatement and cross-reinstatement of nicotine-induced place conditioning in rats.
