Today, many forms of business intelligence coexist in organizations. This situation often leads to a misunderstanding of what business intelligence (BI) is. This purpose of this study is to propose a taxonomy of BI strategies. Based on the BI literature and professional case studies, we created a taxonomy of BI strategies. We developed this taxonomy iteratively with seven BI professionals, using both theory and data to enrich the profiles. This procedure resulted in the creation of four…
