The effects of caffeine at concentrations up to 3 mM were studied on Ca signals obtained using the metallochromic Ca indicator dyes Arsenazo III and Antipyrylazo III in cut frog skeletal muscle fibres mounted in a triple Vaseline-gap chamber and stimulated by voltage clamp or action potential.
