Suppressory B-cell function controls immune responses and is mainly dependent on IL-10 secretion. Pharmacological manipulation of B-cell-specific IL-10 synthesis could, thus, be therapeutically useful in B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia, transplantation, autoimmunity and sepsis.
