Objective: The main aim of this study is to investigate the cytotoxic effect of the Alchemilla vulgaris estimated flavonoids on lymphocytes by MTT assay. Methodology: The aerial parts of plants were dried and extracted in 80% methanol by maceration. Chemical detection of crud plant extracts was performed. The total flavonoids were isolated, subjected to thin layer chromatography (TLC) using different mobile systems. The purified material was read by using HPLC. Extracted A.vulgaris goes throw…

Antiproliferative activity of aqueous extract from Arictum lappa L . root in human erythroleukemia cell line ( k 562 ) and lymphocyte cell

The results showed that the extract, exhibited marked cytotoxic effect on the k562 cell line and lymphocyte at a maximum concentration of 10 mg/ml culture medium, therefore this plant could be considered as potential source of anticancer compounds.

Isolation of antioxidants from Alchemilla xanthochlora

The aim of this study was to find conditions for isolation of antioxidants from Alchemilla xanthochlora. The solid-liquid extraction of plant material with different solvents (n-hexane, chloroform,

Analysis of Flavonoids from Leaves of Cultivated Lycium barbarum L.

The contents of total flavonoids of cultivated L. Barbarum leaves were much higher than those in the wild L. barbarum leaves, so cultivated barbarum Leaves are a suitable source for medicine vegetables and functional tea.

From functional food to medicinal product: Systematic approach in analysis of polyphenolics from propolis and wine

In the last decade we have been working on standardization of propolis extract and determination of active constituents of wine those are rich in polyphenolics and have nutritional as well as

Antioxidant, antimicrobial and neutrophil-modulating activities of herb extracts.

The present study provides a comprehensive data on the antioxidant, antimicrobial and neutrophil-modulating activities of extracts from six medicinal plants and suggests that extracts interfere with the signaling cascade of phagocyte activation upstream of the protein kinase C activation.

Production of Cytokine and NO by RAW 264.7 Macrophages and PBMC In Vitro Incubation with Flavonoids

The results indicated that flavonoids have the capacity to modulate the immune response and have a potential anti-inflammatory activity.

FLAVONOIDS IN THE ENDEMIC SPECIES OF ALCHEMILLA L., (SECTION ALCHEMILLA L. SUBSECTION CALYCANTHUM ROTHM. SER. ELATAE ROTHM.) FROM NORTH-EAST BLACK SEA REGION IN TURKEY.

Flavonol Oglycosides and flavone C- glycosides were identified in Alchemilla endemic species and the first time that flavonoid profiles of these species have been identified.

The application of multiplex fluorimetric sensor for the analysis of flavonoids content in the medicinal herbs family Asteraceae, Lamiaceae, Rosaceae

BackgroundThe aim of our research work was to quantify total flavonoid contents in the leaves of 13 plant species family Asteraceae, 8 representatives of family Lamiaceae and 9 plant species

Flavonoid glycosides of Alchemilla vulgaris L.

From the methanol extract of Alchemilla vulgaris L. (Rosaceae) four flavonoid glycosides were obtained. The isolated compounds were characterized by their spectral and chromatographic data. The known
