We examined the effect of CP-154,526 on cardiovascular changes elicited in conscious rabbits by stressful stimuli (loud sound, cage move, pinprick, formaldehyde vapour and air-jet stress). CP-154,526 substantially reduced pressor and heart rate responses to these stimuli (both vagally and sympathetically mediated), and reduced QT shortening during air-jet stress.
