Abstract. We present an up-to-date profile of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix with emphasis on the interpretation of recent CP-violation results from the B factories. For this purpose, we review all relevant experimental and theoretical inputs from the contributing domains of electroweak interaction. We give the “standard” determination of the apex of the Unitarity Triangle, namely the Wolfenstein parameters $\overline\rho$ and $\overline\eta$, by means of a global CKM fit. The fit is…

Abstract The “Cabibbo Angle Anomaly” (CAA) originates from the disagreement between the CKM elements Vud and Vus extracted from superallowed beta and kaon decays, respectively, once compared via CKM

Abstract In light of the recent LHCb observation of CP violation in the charm sector, we review standard model (SM) predictions in the charm sector and in particular for ΔA CP. We get as an upper

Some fine differences between the twin $b$-flavored unitarity triangles are calculated by means of a generalized Wolfenstein parametrization of the CKM matrix, and a possibility of experimentally
CP Violation and the CKM Matrix

Our knowledge of quark-flavor physics and CP violation increased tremendously over the past five years. It is confirmed that the Standard Model correctly describes the dominant parts of the observed

We point out that testing the equality of the Cabibbo angle as extracted from Γ( K → πlν ), the ratio Γ( K → lν )/Γ( π → lν ) and nuclear β decays is not identical to a test of first row unitarity of
Quark Mixing and CP Violation — the Ckm Matrix
I summarize the theoretical progress in the determination of the CKM elements since Lepton-Photon 2003 and present the status of the elements and parameters of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (CKM)

Is the unitarity of the quark-mixing CKM matrix violated in neutron beta-decay?

A new measurement of neutron beta-decay asymmetry is reported on, which finds a deviation from the unitarity condition for the first row of the CKM matrix of Delta = 0.0083(28), which is 3.0 times the stated error.

To show how new physics may give very different results, this work looks at the predictions of a simple model where both the standard model and superweak contributions to the K 0 and B 0 mass matrices coexist and finds that practically any values are allowed for the asymmetries.

This work studies the success to describe hyperon semileptonic decays of four models that incorporate second-order SU(3) symmetry breaking corrections and concludes that only the model whose corrections are O(m_s) and O( m_s^{3/2}) is successful.

This work reanalyzed the hyperon-decay data using the pattern of symmetry breaking predicted by the quark model including the center-of-mass correction and finds that the SU(3)-broken picture is far superior to the assumption of perfect SU( 3), and provides a good fit to experiment.
