A variety of human cancer cells are resistant to Fas ligand and anti-Fas antibody induced apoptosis. Previously, we reported that human gastric carcinoma cell lines were resistant to the anti-Fas antibody, CH-11, without interferon-gamma pretreatment in vitro.
