The fatty acid compositions and typical fuel characteristics of the biodiesels produced from Isochrysis galbana lipids and used cooking oil were analyzed and compared in this study. The experimental results showed that the major fatty acid compositions of the biodiesel made from the extracted Isochrysis galbana lipids were significantly different from those of the biodiesel made from used cooking oil.
