Abstract 1. 1. Comparative study of pteridine distribution in more than fifty species of amphibian larval and adult skins has been made using paper chromatography and electrophoresis. 2. 2. Biopterin, 2-amino-4-hydroxypteridine, hynobius-blue, sepiapterin, ranachrome-3 (2-amino-4-hydroxy-6-methoxypteridine), bufochrome (2-amino-6-1′, 2′, 3′-trihydroxypropylpteridine), xanthopterin, 2-amino-4-hydroxypteridine-6-carboxylic acid and three drosopterins were found. 3. 3.
