These days, due to the heavy traffic, it is very difficult for drivers in big cities to find an easy and efficient route to a selected destination. Thus, route guidance has become a very important problem for drivers. As a result, car navigation systems are commonly installed in new vehicles. These systems are capable of performing some of the tasks traditionally performed by driver, such as reading the map and determining the best route to the destination. The process of finding optimum path…

Ant Colony System: An Improved Approach for Robot Path Planning
TLDR
The junction-to-junction connectivity is proposed where the path search is replaced by the node search which minimises the computaional time and hence increases the effectiveness and efficiency in agent moving towards the destination from source and also in its reverse direction.
Ant Colony System: A New Concept to Robot Path Planning
TLDR
The proposed Shortest Path Algorithm (SPA), based on Kruskal algorithm, is much more effective and accurate for the RPP problem and will take less computational time and hence increase the efficiency of the work process of the robot system.

An Advanced Algorithm for Finding Shortest Path in Car Navigation System
TLDR
A new shortest path algorithm is proposed, a modified version of dijkstra, which states that search space is restricted by the use of a rectangle or a static and dynamic hexagon, which can improve run times and usaged memory because the visited nodes and edges are limited.
