AIM To investigate the role of Fas-FasL pathway in the pathogenesis of streptozotocin (STZ)-induced type I diabetes mellitus. METHODS Low dose injections of STZ were used to induce type I diabetes mellitus in the CMV-hFasL transgenic mice.
