A new species of penicillate millipede from genus Mauritixenus (Diplopoda, Polyxenidae) found in Vietnam
TLDR
Penicillate millipedes collected from Vietnam proved to be a previously undescribed species in the genus Mauritixenus, and distinguishing characteristics include the number of sensilla on gnathochilarium and the anterior lateral process in the claw concluded this is a new species.
Four new species of Unixenus Jones, 1944 (Diplopoda, Penicillata, Polyxenida) from Australia
TLDR
A revised diagnosis of Unixenus karajinensis and new details on the distribution of the species are given and a key is presented to 10 of all 11 currently known species of the genus.
Two remarkable species of Penicillata (Diplopoda, Polyxenida) from Table Mountain National Park (Cape Town, South Africa)
TLDR
Two new species of the families Polyxenaceae and Synxenidae, are described from Table Mountain National Park, South Africa, which appear to occupy an intermediate position between Phryssonotus (12 tergites) and Polyxenoidea (maximum of 11 tergite).
Corrigenda: Short M, Huynh C (2013) Four new species of Unixenus Jones, 1944 (Diplopoda, Penicillata, Polyxenida) from Australia. ZooKeys 278: 75–90, doi: 10.3897/zookeys.278.4765
TLDR
The latitude given for the single collecting event of this species in Corringle state forest is incorrect and should be 33°40'00"S not 33°22'12"S.
Phylogenetic relationships of millipedes in the subclass Penicillata (Diplopoda) with a key to the genera
TLDR
The results suggest that further revision of the systematics of the Polyxenida may be necessary and a much larger molecular data set will be necessary to clarify and provide stronger nodal support for phylogenetic trees and to confirm the relationships, particularly of the families polyxenidae and Lophoproctidae.
Two remarkable new species of Penicillata (Diplopoda, Polyxenida) from Table Mountain National Park (Cape Town, South Africa)
TLDR
Two new species of the families Polyxenaceae and Synxenidae, are described from Table Mountain National Park, South Africa, which appear to occupy an intermediate position between Phryssonotus (12 tergites) and Polyxenoidea (maximum of 11 tergite).
Revision of the genera of Polyxenidae bearing pseudoarticulated gnathochilarial sensilla (Diplopoda, Polyxenida, Polyxenidae), with the description of two new species
TLDR
The diagnostic characters of each of these four tropical or subtropical genera are redefined and two new species of Macroxenodes are described: M. navassaensis n.sp.
A Review of the Millipedes (Diplopoda) of Namibia, with Identification Keys and Descriptions of Two New Genera and Five New Species
TLDR
Two new genera, Praeterpedicuhis and Umbridesmus, and five new species, namely Bandeirenica andara, Brevitibius oongongololo, B. ondundu, Podochresimus latus, and Syndesmogenus fragilis, are described.
