Java is rapidly becoming one of the most popular object-oriented languages. It is portable and architecture neutral, it is easy to use, it is designed to support the development of highly reliable and robust applications, it is dynamic. But it is not truly concurrent. Indeed, Java supports a limited form of concurrency through a class Thread , provided as part of the Java standard library.
