CD44 is a cell-surface glycoprotein that is expressed in various tissues, including breast carcinoma. It integrates with hyaluronanto regulate cellular signaling, cell adhesion to extracellular matrix (ECM) components and also stimulate a variety of functions leading to breast cancer progression.
