Young leaves of Cornukaempferia aurantiflora Mood & Larsen were used for the initiation of callus growth on Murashige Skoog medium supplemented with 3% sucrose and various concentrations of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) in the light. The highest number of callus forming, percentage of callus formation and average weight of callus were obtained from young leaves cultured on the medium supplemented with 2.0 mg/l 2,4-D. Shoots were successfully regenerated on the medium with…
Establishment of callus culture of Melientha suavis
Melientha sauvis Pierre is an edible wild tree in Thailand. Local communities in Thailand harvest new shoot of the plant by burning the forest to stimulate it, a process that destroys the forest.
Establishment and Optimization Growth of Shoot Buds-Derived Callus and Suspension Cell Cultures of Kaempferia parviflora
Callus and suspension cells culture of Kaempferia parviflora was successfully established. Meristematic shoots can be used for utilization of plant cell biosynthetic capabilities for obtaining
In vitro Propagation of Globba schomburgkii Hook. f. via Bulbil Explants
TLDR
The results indicated that the long divided bulbils of G. schomburgkii Hook.
Organogénesis y embriogénesis en Curcuma longa L. a partir de capas delgadas de células, segmentos y bases de hoja Curcuma longa L. embryogenesis and organogenesis from thin cell layers, leaf segments and bases of leaf
TLDR
Embryogenic response was particularly obtained in leaf bases and TCL, and it was possible to induce cauline and root morphogenesis simultaneously in all evaluated tissue, and Regenerated plants from leaf bases were more vigorous than the others tissues.
Comparison of growth and physiological responses of Globba marantina L. and G. schomburgkii Hook. f. in growing substrate and Hydroponic systems
TLDR
An attempt is made to clarify the role of Thai in the development of English as a language learners and how the language itself has changed over time.
IN VITRO PROPAGATION OF STAHLIANTHUS CAMPANULATUS KUNTZE, A RARE PLANT SPECIES FROM THAILAND
A study was conducted to determine the effect of plant growth regulators on the initiation and growth of Stahlianthus campanulatus Kuntze, a rare plant species from Thailand. Rhizome buds derived

In vitro plant regeneration from leaf-derived callus in ginger (Zingiber officinale Rosc.)
Excised tissues from young leaves of ginger cv. Maran were cultured on revised Murashige and Skoog medium supplemented with various concentrations of growth regulators. The presence of 2, 4-D in the
Plant regeneration from anther derived callus cultures of ginger (Zingiber officinale Rosc.)
TLDR
This is the first report of successful regeneration of plants from ginger anther cultures and the protocol can be used for possible development of androgenic haploids and dihaploids in ginger.
Plant regeneration via somatic embryogenesis in ginger
TLDR
Histological studies revealed various stages of somatic embryogenesis characteristic of the monocot system of ginger and efficient plant regeneration was achieved when embryogenic cultures were transferred to Murashige & Skoog medium containing 8.9 μM benzyladenine.
Efficient Regeneration of Curcuma amada Roxb. Plantlets from Rhizome and Leaf Sheath Explants
TLDR
A protocol is outlined for direct and indirect regeneration of a medicinally valuable Curcuma amada Roxb using rhizome and leaf sheath explants, which revealed most of the regenerated plantlets were similar to the mother plants.
IN VITRO PLANT REGENERATION IN BREAD WHEAT (TRITICUM AESTIVUM L.)
Callus was induced on immature embryos of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) cvs. Sarsabz, Khirman and Soghat-90. The application of different phytohormone concentrations yielded differential behaviour of
In vitro regeneration and acclimatization of plants of turmeric (Curcuma longa L.) in a hydroponic system
TLDR
A methodology for the in vitro propagation of Curcuma longa through indirect organogenesis was developed and the combination of indole-3-acetic acid and Kinetin promoted the induction of shoot tips and roots and the formation of new plants, which made the transfer of the cultures to another culture medium unnecessary to induce organogenesis.
EFEECT OF AGE OF EMBRYOGENIC CALLUS ON PLANT REGENERATION IN LOCAL CULTIVARS OF WHEAT (TRITICUM AESTIVUM L.)
TLDR
It was concluded that 3-4 weeks old mature embryo derived calli were more effective for highest regeneration frequency.
PRIMARY CALLUS INDUCTION, SOMATIC EMBRYOGENESIS AND REGENERATION STUDIES IN SELECTED ELITE WHEAT VARIETIES FROM PAKISTAN
TLDR
Effects of varying concentrations of growth regulators including 2, 4-D, BAP, IAA, Kin were investigated for primary callus induction, embryogenic callus formation and regeneration of two elite wheat varieties viz., Sahar and GA-02 to help in understanding the response of wheat to tissue culture conditions and ultimately promise in improving yield by employing various biotechnological techniques.
