A new optimization algorithm, Butterfly Optimizer (BO) is discussed in this paper. BO simulates the mate-locating behavior of male butterflies. In BO, position of male butterflies represents the collection of trial solutions and two main mate-locating behavior, perching and patrolling are employed to update the position of male butterflies (trial solutions) to optimize the problem.
