Atmospheric particulate and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) size distributions were measured at Jhu-Shan (a rural site) and Sin-Gang (a town site) in central Taiwan during the rice straw burning and non-burning periods. The concentrations of total PAHs (sum of 21 gases + particles) at the Jhu-Shan site (Sin-Gang site) were 523 ± 111 ng m (5728 ± 91 ng m) and 330 ± 17 ng m (or 428 ± 108 ng m) during burning and non-burning periods, respectively, accounting for a roughly 58% (or 34… CONTINUE READING
