Browsing System for Weblog Articles based on Automated Folksonomy

title={Browsing System for Weblog Articles based on Automated Folksonomy},
author={Tsutomu Ohkura and Yoji Kiyota and Hiroshi Nakagawa},
Folksonomy is a new manual classification scheme based on tagging eorts of users with freely chosen keywords. In folk- sonomy, a user puts an item (i.e. a photo, a book mark) on a server and shares it with other users. The owner and even the other users can attach tags to this item for their own classification, and they reflect many one's viewpoints. Since tags are chosen from users' vocabulary and contain many one's viewpoints, classification results are easy to un- derstand for ordinary users…

FolkDiffusion: A Graph-Based Tag Suggestion Method for Folksonomies

A heat diffusion method, i.e., FolkDiffusion, to rank tags for tag suggestions, which can suggest user- and resource-specific tags and prevent from topic drift is presented.

TaxoFolk: a hybrid taxonomy–folksonomy classification for enhanced knowledge navigation

TaxoFolk is presented, an algorithm for deriving hybrid taxonomy-folksonomy classification for enhanced knowledge navigation that integrates folksonomy with a taxonomy through several unsupervised data mining techniques with augmented heuristics.

A Simple Word Trigger Method for Social Tag Suggestion

A method to suggest tags according to the text description of a resource by considering both the description and tags of a given resource as summaries to the resource written in two languages to bridge their vocabulary gap is proposed.

Randomized tag recommendation in social networks and classification of spam posts

This paper proposes an approach for automatic tag recommendation by using a suggestion set and discusses a randomized suggestion rule for learning the true popular tags and proposed approach for classifying spammers based on tagging history of users.

Exploring the Granularity Level of Social Tags

Most tags are in more concrete levels, and the users tend to choose tags within the same concept level for a document, which means that when predicting tags for a new document, tags in higher concept levels provide little help, yet may hurt the performance.

The Prediction of User Topic Interest Based on Tags and Interaction of Users

A user topic interest prediction method based on the tag content and interactive relations of users is proposed, which utilizes Wikipedia to extend the tags and produce a preliminary estimate of the tags' importance.

Estimating translation probabilities for social tag suggestion

Combating spam in tagging systems: An evaluation

A framework for modeling tagging systems and user tagging behavior is introduced and a method for ranking documents matching a tag based on taggers' reliability is described, which will help to understand tagging spam better.

Enhancing Wikipedia's categorization system through heuristic information extraction, a system to study the coverage of a user's interests in order to promote serendipity, new and interesting information, in recommendations is constructed.

Folksonomies-Cooperative Classification and Communication Through Shared Metadata

This paper examines user-generated metadata as implemented and applied in two web services designed to share and organize digital media to better understand grassroots classification. Metadata data

Learning Contextualised Weblog Topics

This paper examines how a topiccentric view of the Blogosphere can be created and introduces the Tagsocratic project, a novel initiative to solve the concept alignment problem using techniques derived from research in language acquisition among distributed, autonomous agents.

BoosTexter: A Boosting-based System for Text Categorization

This work describes in detail an implementation, called BoosTexter, of the new boosting algorithms for text categorization tasks, and presents results comparing the performance of Boos Texter and a number of other text-categorization algorithms on a variety of tasks.
