AbstractObjective To determine the concentration of proteins and phospholipids, markers of inflammatory reaction such as platelet-activating factor (PAF), and cell alterations in bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) fluid during the evolution of the acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).
