Since the late 1980s there have been major changes to New Zealand's constitution. In areas such as freedom of information and parliamentary reform, the changes have been fundamental. There has recently been a rapid growth in Treaty of Waitangi jurisprudence. Reforms have also been heralded with the enactment of the Constitution Act and the New Zealand Bill of Rights Act.
