  • Ultrasound tomography is a modality that can be used to image various characteristics of the breast, such as sound speed, attenuation, and reflectivity. In the considered setup, the breast is immersed in water and scanned along the coronal axis from the chest wall to the nipple region. To improve image visualization, it is desirable to remove the water background. To this end, the 3D boundary of the breast must be accurately estimated.
