Studies in isolated cells overexpressing ACE and bradykinin type 2 (B(2)) receptors suggest that ACE inhibitors potentiate bradykinin by inhibiting B(2) receptor desensitization, via a mechanism involving protein kinase C (PKC) and phosphatases.
