We present certain universal bounds on the capacity of quantum information storage and on the time scale of its retrieval for a generic quantum field theoretic system. The capacity, quantified by the microstate entropy, is bounded from above by the surface area of the object measured in units of a Goldstone decay constant. The Goldstone bosons are universally present due to the spontaneous breaking of Poincare and internal symmetries by the information-storing object. Applied to a black hole… Expand

Black hole based quantum computing in labs and in the sky
Analyzing some well established facts, we give a model-independent parameterization of black hole quantum computing in terms of a set of macro and micro quantities and their relations. These includeExpand
Black Hole Type Quantum Computing in Critical Bose-Einstein Systems
Recent ideas about understanding physics of black hole information-processing in terms of quantum criticality allow us to implement black hole mechanisms of quantum computing within criticalExpand
Black Hole's Quantum N-Portrait
We establish a quantum measure of classicality in the form of the occupation number, $N$, of gravitons in a gravitational field. This allows us to view classical background geometries as quantumExpand
Quantum Break-Time of de Sitter
The quantum break-time of a system is the time-scale after which its true quantum evolution departs from the classical mean field evolution. For capturing it, a quantum resolution of the classicalExpand
Area Law Saturation of Entropy Bound from Perturbative Unitarity in Renormalizable Theories
We study the quantum information storage capacity of solitons and baryons in renormalizable quantum field theories that do not include gravity. We observe that a 't Hooft-Polyakov magnetic monopoleExpand
Universal upper bound on the entropy-to-energy ratio for bounded systems
We present evidence for the existence of a universal upper bound of magnitude $\frac{2\ensuremath{\pi}R}{\ensuremath{\hbar}c}$ to the entropy-to-energy ratio $\frac{S}{E}$ of an arbitrary system ofExpand
Classicalization Clearly: Quantum Transition into States of Maximal Memory Storage Capacity
Classicalization is a phenomenon of redistribution of energy - initially stored in few hard quanta - into the high occupation numbers of the soft modes, described by a final state that isExpand
A Microscopic Model of Holography: Survival by the Burden of Memory
An explicit microscopic realization of the phenomenon of holography is provided by a class of simple quantum theories of a bosonic field inhabiting a d-dimensional space and experiencing a momentumExpand
Quantum Compositeness of Gravity: Black Holes, AdS and Inflation
Gravitational backgrounds, such as black holes, AdS, de Sitter and inflationary universes, should be viewed as composite of N soft constituent gravitons. It then follows that such systems are closeExpand
Classicalization and unitarization of wee partons in QCD and Gravity: The CGC-Black Hole correspondence
We discuss a remarkable correspondence between the description of Black Holes as highly occupied condensates of N weakly interacting gravitons and that of Color Glass Condensates (CGCs) as highlyExpand
