We show that the BPS Skyrme model, as well as its (2+1) dimensional baby version (restricted), can be coupled with an impurity in the BPS preserving manner. The corresponding Bogomolny equations are derived.

Higher derivative supersymmetric nonlinear sigma models on Hermitian symmetric spaces and BPS states therein
• Mathematics

We formulate four-dimensional $\mathcal{N} = 1$ supersymmetric nonlinear sigma models on Hermitian symmetric spaces with higher derivative terms, free from the auxiliary field problem and the

Bogomolny equation for the BPS Skyrme model from the strong necessary conditions
We present a systematic tool of derivation of the Bogomolny equation for the BPS Skyrme model. Furthermore, we find a generalization of the Bogomolny equation to the case corresponding with a
The Existence of Bogomolny Decompositions for Gauged $O(3)$ Nonlinear "sigma" Model and for Gauged Baby Skyrme Models
The Bogomolny decompositions (Bogomolny equations) for the gauged baby Skyrme models: restricted and full one, in (2+0)-dimensions, are derived, for some general classes of the potentials. The
Gauged sigma models and magnetic Skyrmions
We define a gauged non-linear sigma model for a 2-sphere valued field and a SU(2)SU(2) connection on an arbitrary Riemann surface whose energy functional reduces to that for critically coupled
The existence of Bogomolny decomposition for baby Skyrme models
We derive the Bogomolny decompositions (Bogomolny equations) for: full baby Skyrme model and for its restricted version (so called, pure baby Skyrme model), in (2+0) dimensions, by using so called,
Supersymmetry and Bogomol'nyi equations in the Maxwell Chern-Simons systems
We take advantage of the superspace formalism and explicitly find the N=2 supersymmetric extension of the Maxwell Chern-Simons model. In our construction a special form of a potential term and
Composite BPS skyrmions from an exact isospin symmetry breaking
We study the BPS Skyrme model with potentials breaking the isospin symmetry and analyse how properties of exact solitonic solutions depend on a form of the isospin breaking potential. In the case of

Investigation of restricted baby Skyrme models
• Physics

A restriction of the baby Skyrme model consisting of the quartic and potential terms only is investigated in detail for a wide range of potentials. Further, its properties are compared with those of
