Body substance isolation: a comprehensive method for infection control.

Abstract

BSI, which incorporates universal precautions, is an alternative to traditional isolation techniques. The author addresses common concerns of laboratorians and suggests ways to adapt CDC and OSHA standards to the community hospital setting.
