Eighty nine wild anurans comprising of 14 species from nine genera i.e. Afixalus dorsalis, Amietophrynus maculatus, A. regularis, Amnirana galamensis, Arthroleptis poecilonotus, Arthroleptis sp., Aubria subsigilata, Hoplobatrachus occipitalis, Hyperolus concolor, Hyperolus fusciventris, Hyperolus fusciventris burfoni, Hyperolus sp., Ptychadena mascareniensis and Silurana tropicalis caught from three sampling sites: Okomu Oil Palm Plantation, Usen Cocoa Plantation and the banks of River Niger at…
Parasitic infections of anurans from a freshwater creek community in Delta State, Niger Delta of Nigeria
TLDR
The parasitic infections of 125 anurans belonging to 13 taxa from Ase community in Delta State in the Niger Delta of Nigeria was investigated and 32 parasites recovered included one pentastomid, four cestode, four monogenean, ten digenean and thirteen nematode taxa.
Neofoleyellides boerewors n. gen. n. sp. (Nematoda: Onchocercidae) parasitising common toads and mosquito vectors: morphology, life history, experimental transmission and host-vector interaction in situ.
TLDR
The complex host-vector relationship and specialised host-seeking behaviour by these mosquitoes indicate biases towards host species and male toad infections.

TLDR
Rana vaillanti, the most aquatic species of frog, harbored the most species of parasites, and the criteria described herein should be applied when naming new species of anuran trypanosomes.
Helminth parasites of seven anuran species from northwestern Mexico
TLDR
One hundred eighty-three specimens representing 7 anuran species were examined for helminth parasites and thirty-five new host records are reported.
BLOOD PARASITES OF AMPHIBIANS FROM ALGONQUIN PARK, ONTARIO
TLDR
The presence of Trypanosoma ranarum in B. americanus appeared to coincide with their attainment of sexual maturity, suggesting that longer exposure to water makes these species more likely to acquire blood parasites.
The First Data on the Fauna and Distribution of Blood Parasites of Amphibians in Lithuania
TLDR
There was no discernible difference in the intensity of infection among different frog species, and there were clear differences in the prevalence of infectionamong different populations of the same amphibian species.

Anurans as Intermediate and Paratenic Hosts of Helminth Infections in the Rainforest and Derived Savanna Biotopes of Southern Nigeria
TLDR
Anurans from the rainforest and derived savanna locations in Nigeria were investigated for their role either as intermediate or paratenic hosts of helminth infections, finding Afrixalus dorsalis is a new host record for the ascaridoid nematode while the finding of the strigeoid trematode, the proteocephalid cestode larvae and acanthOcephalan cystacanths in the anurans investigated represents new geographical records.
Pathological Study of Blood Parasites in Rice Field Frogs, Hoplobatrachus rugulosus (Wiegmann, 1834)
TLDR
One hundred and forty adult rice field frogs, Hoplobatrachus rugulosus, were collected in Srakaew province, Thailand and the results showed that 70% of the frogs were infected with 5 species of blood parasites, including a Trypanosoma rotatorium-like organism, Trypano-Chattoni chattoni, Hepatozoon sp.
FALCAUSTRA LOWEI N. SP. AND OTHER HELMINTHS FROM THE TARAHUMARA FROG, RANA TARAHUMARAE (ANURA: RANIDAE), FROM SONORA, MEXICO
TLDR
F. lowei is the 14th Nearctic species to be described and belongs to that group of species possessing a pseudosucker, namely F. catesbeianae, F. chelydrae, and F. wardi, and can be readily differentiated from these by the arrangement of caudal papillae and length of spicules.
Hemoparasites of the genus Trypanosoma (Kinetoplastida: Trypanosomatidae) and hemogregarines in Anurans of the São Paulo and Mato Grosso do Sul States - Brazil.
