The distribution of cholesterol and vitamin E among the various lipoprotein density fractions in bovine blood was measured. The percentage of total plasma vitamin E and cholesterol in the various lipoprotein fractions was very-low-density lipoprotein, 2% and 2%, respectively; low-density lipoprotein, 17% and 22%, respectively, and high-density lipoprotein. 77% and 72%, respectively.
