  • The combined effects of ethanol with chlorpromazine, diazepam, chlormethiazole or sodium pentobarbital on blood glucose, SGOT and tissue catecholamines were studied in rats. Various intervals were used between the ethanol and drug administrations.Ethanol tended to raise the blood glucose level. It was clearly elevated after chlorpromazine or chlormethiazole administration. Diazepam and sodium pentobarbital were without effect.
